Curup Cangkah Kidau dan Curup Aik Kehung: Dua Permata Alam Desa Ujan Mas, OKU Selatan
Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Selatan adalah wilayah yang kaya akan keindahan alam serta destinasi wisata yang memikat hati. Di antara kekayaan alam tersebut, terdapat dua air terjun yang menjadi kebanggaan masyarakat lokal, yakni Curup Cangkah Kidau dan Curup Aik Kehung, yang keduanya terletak di wilayah Desa Ujan Mas, Kecamatan Sungai Are.
Curup Cangkah Kidau
Curup Cangkah Kidau merupakan air terjun dengan ketinggian mencapai puluhan meter yang dikelilingi oleh hutan tropis yang masih alami. Suasana sejuk dan segar tercipta dari lebatnya pepohonan dan semilir angin pegunungan, menjadikan tempat ini sebagai lokasi sempurna untuk melepas penat dari hiruk-pikuk kehidupan sehari-hari.
Nama "Cangkah Kidau" sendiri berasal dari bahasa lokal yang berarti air terjun yang mengalir ke arah kiri (kidal). Keunikan aliran air yang menyimpang ke sisi kiri inilah yang menjadi ciri khas dan daya tarik utama dari air terjun ini.
Untuk mencapai lokasi Curup Cangkah Kidau, pengunjung harus menempuh perjalanan sekitar 4 kilometer dari permukiman warga, dengan estimasi waktu perjalanan sekitar satu jam. Meski akses masih tergolong terbatas, pemandangan yang disuguhkan sepanjang perjalanan memberikan pengalaman tersendiri yang tak terlupakan.
Curup Aik Kehung
Curup Aik Kehung, sebuah air terjun yang tak kalah memesona. “Aik Kehung” dalam bahasa daerah berarti air yang tersembunyi, menggambarkan letaknya yang berada di tengah hutan lebat dan jauh dari kebisingan, menjadikan air terjun ini sebagai surga tersembunyi bagi para penjelajah alam.
Curup Aik Kehung menawarkan suasana yang tenang dan damai, dengan suara gemericik air yang menenangkan dan pemandangan hijau yang memanjakan mata. Air terjun ini belum banyak diketahui oleh wisatawan luas, sehingga keasriannya masih sangat terjaga.
Meskipun akses jalan menuju lokasi belum sepenuhnya memadai, semangat masyarakat lokal untuk menjaga dan memperkenalkan destinasi ini menjadi modal penting dalam upaya pengembangan potensi wisata desa.
